The Asia Smart Farming & Food Security 2023 (ASF ‘23) officially commenced at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC) last week from 3October to 5 October 2023 in Kuala Lumpur. The event, endorsed by the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities and supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security embodied a united commitment to shaping the future of the agricultural landscape.
Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Syed Jalaludin Syed Salim, Pro-Chancellor University Putra Malaysia officiated the ceremony, sharing that ASF ‘23 was an event that promises to transform our agricultural sector into a technologically advanced and sustainable powerhouse.
Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Mamat, Organizing Chairman of ASF ‘23 said, “We are thrilled to officiate ASF’23, an event that signifies a pivotal moment in the evolution of smart farming. It is a testament to our commitment to foster innovation and sustainable practices in agriculture.”

ASF’23 celebrated its partnerships with Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladang (LPP) & NAFAS as the Official Exclusive Farmers Partner, PS Food & Beverage Sdn Bhd as the Official Health Beverage Partner, and MDEC as the Official Digital Partner. Aerodyne supported the event as the Official Drone Partner, while Powerplants and PRIVA served as the Official Smart Farming Technology Partners, and MTDC as the Official Technology Partner.
The event also welcomed support from Bronze Partners including PWD Smart Farmability, MIDF, Jiffy, and Picasynergy.
